The fastest train in the world

Japanese trains are known for their high speed and advanced technology. Now Japan Railway Company announced plans to build the world's fastest train between Tokyo and Nagoya, and will be delivered in 2027.

The new line, estimated to cost about 64 billion dollars is nearly 300 kilometers of railways, the company expects that the train can go 500 km / h, making the distance between the two cities to be covered in 40 minutes.

The new railway will use the technique called "magnetic levitation", which uses strong magnets to lift the train above the tracks, reducing friction and increasing the speed.

Last year, Japan began selling the technology to potential U.S. partners. Last week, the Obama administration said it would spend 53 billion dollars on high-speed trains.
