The fastest plane in the world

     Skylon, a plane that can fly at a speed five times greater than that of sound, was created by British researchers and become the fastest plane in the world.

     Skylon will be able to fly at an altitude of 29,000 feet, with the ability to reach any point on Earth in less than 4 hours.

      The plane was designed by the company Reaction Engines Limited and will be equipped with a hybrid engine Sabre. It works both as a jet engine propulsion, as well as a rocket engine.

      For now, researchers are testing engine and want to present the project at Fair Farnborough International Aviation, which hopes to attract investors to raise the money needed to complete production aircraft.

      Its costs would reach over 250 million.
